I’ll try to be transparent about my week-to-week writing efforts. I’ll even post some drafts and snippets for everyone to gawk at and tear apart for me. I could always get better at accepting criticism.
This week I’m going to try to get back to some creative writing after spending a lot of my writing time preparing this week’s launch of the blog. Lunch Ticket is the first lit mag to reject me AND suggest I continue submitting. It’s my first half-win as a poet. I really want to create something wonderful with them in mind.

I try really hard to get writing in during the day and use my lunch break at work to do so. Now that it’s nice out I don’t have to pay for a beverage and sit in a loud cafe. Argo Tea is going to go bankrupt without me in there everyday ordering a Coconut Oolong.
The journal is by Live Inspired. I adore all of their journals and they are so reasonably priced at $6.95. I discovered them at my local art shop and have been addicted ever sense. The ones I like are from their “Write Now” series. The covers are inspirational, some have quotes, and all of them have beautiful images every few pages. They make my endless scrawling a little bit more interesting.
What are you working on this week? Do you write by hand? Let me know if I am an old fogey…
You have inspired me to write an article I’ve been wanting to write for almost a year (for Under 30 CEO). That is what I’m working on this week!

Write by hand?! I feel like that’s a lost art form these days. I revise by hand for sure, I refer to it as “getting physical” with my work. I typically write on my computer because I type faster than I can scrawl. Also, I’d love to read some of your poetry. POST. IT.

I do tend to type faster than I write but, like you said, I like getting physical. 🙂
